Beers n Bears goes Gold

Beers n Bears wird jetzt als Ergänzung zu seinem Kanada-Shop zusätzlich eine Community aufbauen, in der sich Kunden und Freunde austauschen können. Es wird u.a. auch die Möglichkeit geben, das die Mitglieder hier einen eigenen Blog installieren oder eine eigene Informationsseite aufbauen können.

Außerdem wird es einen Chatroom, eine Bild-Datenbank und vieles mehr geben. Wir möchten aber darauf hinweisen, dass wir uns noch in der Entwicklungsphase befinden und das sich die Beers n Bears Gold Community noch in der Beta-Phase befindet. „CanadaTable“ Treffen in Frankfurt

Am 10.12.09 um 20 Uhr findet im Steinernen Haus in Frankfurt, Braubach-Str. 35 um 20 Uhr das erste CanadaTable Treffen in Frankfurt statt. ‘Kennenlernen, gemeinsames Essen und sich über Kanada austauschen’ ist das Motto des CanadaTable Frankfurt. Der CanadaTable Frankfurt soll in 2010 zu einer festen Einrichtung für alle Kanadafans aus dem Rhein-Maingebiet werden. Die „Red Cove Heights“ Diaries – Teil 34

30° in Deutschland – 12° in Nova Scotia

Heute Nacht haben wir die neuesten Bilder erhalten. Leider hat Ray noch nicht mit den Seitenwänden begonnen. Es regnet aber auch irgendwie die ganze Zeit. So sieht es zumindest auf der Webcam von Cecile in L’Ardoise aus. Der Silent-Floor scheint aber komplett verlegt zu sein. Auf alle Fälle werden wir die neuen Photos nachher noch online stellen.

Aber etwas anderes hat Gabi und mich die ganze Zeit beschäftigt. Also mehr mich als Gabi. Irgendwie kam (kommt) mir die Grundfläche von Red Cove Heights sehr klein vor. Also haben wir Jörg, einen Freund von uns in St. Peter’s gebeten, sich die Grundfläche auch noch einmal anzuschauen. Jörg hat die „Flügel“ rechts und links auf ca. 5×6 m geschätzt. Damit wäre dann ja auch wieder alles ok. Auch Ray hat eine Fläche von 1.296 sqf bestätigt. Dennoch mußte ich, obwohl wir ja mit unserem Umrechnungsprogramm (Squarefeet in Quadratmeter) die genaue Größe ermitteln konnten, erstmal Gabi mit den Bauplänen quälen. Dann wurden auch noch die Durchschnittsmaße von Waschmaschinen und Trocknern ermittelt (80 cm) um dann endlich festzustellen: Jo – paßt alles.

Da war aber noch das Sechseck in der Mitte. Wie um alles in der Welt wird nochmal die Fläche von einem Sechseck berechnet???

Gut das „Vatta“ früher Mathematik-Lehrer war. Ich konnte mich soeben noch vor einer genauen Erklärung der Formel drücken: „Vatta“ nur die Anzahl der qm!! Der Rechenweg ist mir egal. 70qm. Jetzt war zumindest für den Augenblick alles klar.

Na ja – wenn alles läuft, kann man sich halt auch selber Probleme bereiten. Und das hat ja mal wieder prima geklappt.
