Red Cove

Vor zwei, drei Tagen haben wir von Ray eine Antwort bezüglich des Action-Plans bekommen. Die Freigabe zum Hausbau wurde vom Envoirment (Gesundheitsbehörde) erteilt. Die eigentliche Baugenehmigung ist also nur noch eine Formsache. Das Material für das Dach und den Fußboden wurden bereits bestellt. Die Planung sieht jetzt vor, dass die “Foundation” Ende April gebaut wird. Wir sind schon jetzt auf die ersten Photos gespannt, da wir Joe und Ray gesagt haben, dass das Haus dort plaziert werden soll, wo Sie es für richtig halten. Nur die Ausrichtung soll zu 100% mit der Küstenlinie übereinstimmen.

Na ja, so groß ist unser Grundstück ja nicht. Der ausgewählte Baugrund wird uns also kaum überraschen und hinter irgendwelchen Bäumen kann man das Haus auch nicht verstecken.

Wir haben jetzt auch die Maße für die Fenster bekommen. Allerdings nicht in cm, sondern in Inch. Da wir aber ein kanadisches Maßband mit Inches und cm besitzen, können wir uns die Maße leicht selber ausrechnen. Auch haben wir heute wieder ein neues englisches Wort gelernt: Obscure Glass, also Milchglass-Verglasung für die Badezimmer. Auf das Wort muß man erst einmal kommen.

Wünschen Sie sich manchmal auch zurück in eine Zeit, die nicht nur durch Tempo und Leistungsdruck gekennzeichnet ist, sondern in der es auch Phasen der Ruhe und Gelassenheit gibt. Zurückdrehen können wir das Rad alle nicht, aber vielleicht können wir uns eine Umgebung schaffen, in der wir uns wieder wohl fühlen können.
